Ashanti Shequoiya who is better known by the name Ashanti, is an incredibly well-known American actress and singer. She is a US singer songwriter. Ashanti's talent was first discovered in her teens. The singer signed with Murder Inc. Records, in 2002. Ashanti was featured on Fat Joe's What's Luv? And Fat Joe's What's Lulv? She became the first female artist to hold the first and second spots on the Billboard Hot 100 list in the United States with Foolish at first place and Luv? at number two. Luv? The first female artist holding both the highest two positions on the Billboard Hot 100 in America and with the number one spot held by Foolish. one and the other being What's Loving? Let's celebrate the special occasion with us. Ashanti Shequoiya has been referred to as Ashanti when she was born the 13th of October, 1980 in Glen Cove New York. Tina Douglas was her mother and Ken Kaide Thomas Douglas previously been vocalists. Kenashia Schia Douglas is her younger sister is older. Douglas chose the name Ashanti Shia Douglas to honor the Ashanti Empire in Ghana, where women were powerful and influential. Douglas wanted Ashantis to take this as a model. On the 16th of October Hey Baby (After the Club) was made available to the radio and online outlets. She was on The Christmas in the City film as Latasha in Army Wives. Her track Rock wit U was sampled by British artist Aitch to record his song Baby in March 10, 2022.
