Ariel Gail
Professor Gail S. Goodman, Director of the Psychology Department and Director of the Center for Public Policy Research is at the University of California Davis. Her name is often credited for beginning the current research into the study of memories of eyewitnesses and children's victims as witnesses in court situations. Professor Goodman is an prolific writer, has won numerous awards and grants. She has provided consulting on research and policy to numerous agencies and government departments around the globe. She is a consultant at the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center, formerly The Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She was a part of numerous professional organizations, including the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) Professor Goodman is a member of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She has been president of The American Psychological Association's Developmental Division and three Divisions of the Child and Family Practice and Policy Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
